What a day!
We woke up at the ripe old time of 10:30am. Sleeping in late truly is a wonderful and rare occurence, as I have been getting up at 7:30 for school. Today we trekked to Jervis Shopping Center for a day of wreckless spending at Penney's (not associated with J.C. Penney's)....minus the wreckless spending. We discovered the beauty of six euro bikinis and ten euro dresses. Walking out of the store with a damage of only one dress each (Liv's only 3 euros) we were feeling pretty good. We decided to walk around City Centre and what a good decision it was. Saturdays and Sundays are always swarming with street performers who are amazingly talented. We saw a man (pictured above) who was dressed as a statue and he was so good he even fooled the pigeons as one flew up onto his arm! A few bands were playing as well and they were awesome. We even saw a lady playing the harp. After enjoying a music and entertainment filled stroll for a couple hours we ended up at Trinity watching a football (soccer) game. We probably heard the f word screamed twenty times, however this is not a rare thing here even in our daily commute. The game had an epic finish; the team that won scored their goal two minutes before the end of the game. Trudging home through the biting February air, we boarded the DART for home and were greeted by a dinner of lamb, mashed and roasted taters, carrots, and broccoli. Very satisfying indeed.
